The 40^th federal general election has been called for Tuesday, October 14, 2008

In an effort to help as many electors as possible to vote, we provide key information on the electoral process in English, French and 27 other languages. These translations are available on our Web site under Voters: Voters from Ethnocultural Communities.

To be eligible to vote, you must be a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years of age on election day.

Some provisions of the Canada Elections Act have changed. When you vote, you MUST prove your identity and address.

Electors can also visit our Web site to apply for a job during the election.

To find your electoral district or for any other information, please visit www.elections.ca, contact your local Elections Canada office or call our toll-free number at 1-800-463-6868 (1-800-info-vote).
